LOCKED [Jan. 2nd, 2020|10:11 pm]

Friends only, I've decided.
Add me first, then comment to be added back.

NOTE: If you just randomly add me without commenting, I will only add you if I like the content of your journal. The only way to ensure that I will add you is if you comment.

SALE [Jun. 27th, 2011|02:46 pm]
Hey guys! Like I mentioned awhile back, I have a few things for sale. I had a lot of other things to get rid of but I let Claudia go through them first, and she cleaned out most of it. What I've got left is behind the cut, I didn't set prices, if you want anything just make me an offer. I'm asking $5 for shipping. I'll be doing transactions through paypal. I'll give it a week and then I'm taking what's left to the thrift store.

I'm usually a size Medium/7/8.

Stuff! )

So I haven't updated decently in awhile, what else is new. I just wanted to let you guys know about this new site that Nick and I are addicted to:

www.swaptree.com

Basically, you list books, dvds, video games and cds that you have and don't want anymore, and you list things that you want. Then you can find someone who has something you want, and wants something you have, and you guys trade off your stuff! Nick got his first book the other day, and we both mailed out two books, so we are expecting more soon. It's completely free, all that you pay for is the shipping of the item that you are sending.

For those of you that are bookworms like me, I guarantee you'll love it!

I saw that a lot of people on my flist are doing this, I want in!

Step One
- Make a post (public, friendslocked, filtered...whatever you're comfortable with) to your LJ. The post should contain your list of 10 holiday wishes. The wishes can be anything at all, from simple and fun ("I'd love a Snape/Hermione icon that's just for me") to medium ("I wish for _____ on DVD") to really big ("All I want for Christmas is a new car/computer/house/TV.") The important thing is, make sure these wishes are things you really, truly want.

- If you wish for real possible things, make sure you include some sort of contact info in your post, whether it's your address or just your email address where Santa (or one of his elves) could get in touch with you.

- Also, make sure you post some version of these guidelines in your LJ, so that the holiday joy will spread.

Step Two
- Surf around your friendslist (or friendsfriends, or just random journals) to see who has posted their list.

And now here's the important part:

- If you see a wish you can grant, and it's in your heart to do so, make someone's wish come true. Sometimes someone's trash is another's treasure, and if you have a leather jacket you don't want or a gift certificate you won't use--or even know where you could get someone's dream purebred Basset Hound for free--do it.

You needn't spend money on these wishes unless you want to. The point isn't to put people out, it's to provide everyone a chance to be someone else's holiday elf--to spread the joy. Gifts can be made anonymously or not--it's your call.

There are no rules with this project, no guarantees, and no strings attached. Just...wish, and it might come true. Give, and you might receive. And you'll have the joy of knowing you made someone's holiday special.

My Wishlist:

1. A good paying job that I enjoy doing, and that doesn't take up all of my time.

2. For baby mama to quit causing problems.

3. Cards or letters. I'll send some back :D

4. Photos you've taken, pictures you've drawn, etc.

5. Some canvases in any size, even the itty bitty ones.

6. Teas/coffees/cocoas.

7. Incense.

8. Tattoo money.

9. A crown ring.

10. Nice makeup brushes.

Although I don't expect to get too much, if anything out of this, I will absolutely send something back to anybody that sends me something. I think it's a very good idea and I already have a few things in mind to send those of you who have already posted your lists :)
